Well we have just gone past the half way stage of the RAF families days season and there has been some excellent events all over the UK. The last couple of days we have seen 2 of the UK's large families days, these being the RAF Marham and RAF Coningsby events with both events had put on excellent flying displays for those attending the event and of course the many people who were watching on the outside.
- RAF Marham's families day on Thursday 21st had a little damper put on its event with the national covered incident of the attempted knife point abduction that happened in the morning hours just outside the station, but they still went ahead with the families day. The excellent flying display included a special flypast of Tornado GR4's and the Red Arrows.
- RAF Coningsby families day that took place on Friday 22nd July had a very good display line-up, this included the excellent Belgium AF F-16 display team putting on a powerful display rarely seen at Families days in the UK and like Marham families day their was a very special flypast which included the BBMF (Lanc, Spit and Hurricane) and a RAF Typhoon.
